Patriots Training Camp Day 8: Walkthrough Session; Mack Hollins Returns + More

The Patriots slowed things down for Day 8 of training camp, running a full walkthrough with no competitive 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 periods. While the pace was relaxed, there were still a few quiet developments worth noting ahead of the team’s upcoming padded scrimmage Friday night.

One of the bigger moves today came up front, where Jared Wilson continues seeing starting reps at left guard. It’s been a great camp for Wilson so far and getting the nod today is another sign the rookie continues trending upward and most likely will start for this team come week 1.

Another update came at wide receiver: Mack Hollins was officially activated off the PUP list and immediately jumped into first-team reps. That came at the expense of Kayshon Boutte, who saw his usage drop a bit as Hollins finally joined the mix. It’s something to monitor, especially after Boutte has been seeing starting looks all camp.

No Drake Maye fireworks or defensive splash plays today — just installation, corrections, and mental reps across the board.
