Patriots & Vikings Day 1 Joint Practice Recap

Patriots & Vikings Go Full Pads in Day 1 Joint Practice

The Patriots and Vikings went head-to-head in a high-energy, full-pads session in Eagan — and the offense wasted no time lighting it up. Drake Maye delivered a mix of highlight throws and near-misses, including a 70-yard wheel-route bomb to TreVeyon Henderson and a 30-yard strike to Kayshon Boutte. Stefon Diggs was a constant headache for Minnesota’s defense in short zones, while DeMario Douglas, Javon Baker, and Mack Hollins all found the end zone in different ways.

Defensively, New England’s pass rushers were in midseason form, piling up sacks and stuffing the run, with Marcus Jones snagging an interception off a bad throw. The offensive line had its moments but struggled with pass protection, giving up six sacks on the day.

That’s just scratching the surface — from big plays to costly turnovers, Day 1 had plenty of storylines. Check out the full breakdown and all the highlights in my recap video.
