I decided to go ahead and predict the 2025 Patriots Captains..
Remember…NONE of the 2024 captains are currently on this team anymore following the release of Jabrill Peppers. So it’ll 100% be an ALL NEW CREW. I think I might’ve nailed it… 6/6 possibly. What do you guys think?

Drake Maye — As the franchise quarterback, Maye sets the tone for the offense with his leadership, poise, and ability to make plays which gets the guys going. I’ve been hopeful – and even expect – Drake Maye to take a major leap in year 2 with a now competent offense. The leadership role was clearly being taken on by Drake early on in camp. It was also clear the coaches WANTED him to take this role. There’s no denying Drake Maye will be a captain this season, in my opinion.
Robert Spillane — This could very well be the most crucial signing of the entire off season. Spillane is a hard-nosed linebacker and vocal presence. He’ll be the “Drake Maye of the Defense”. Aside from Christian Gonzalez and MAYBE Milton Williams – Robert Spillane is the most important piece on the defensive side of the ball. Some would argue he IS the most important. Terrell Williams and Vrabel are going to love having Spillane. Vrabel also gave UDFA Spillane a chance back in 2018 with the Titans.
Morgan Moses — The veteran tackle brings experience, professionalism and provides a mentor’s voice to a young offensive line group – especial the Tackle opposite side the line: Will Campbell.
Hunter Henry — A reliable, proven veteran playmaker, Henry leads by example with consistency, preparation, and a calming presence in the locker room. Easy call in my opinion – much deserving of becoming a captain for the Patriots.
Marcus Jones — A versatile playmaker in all three phases, a professional on and off the field. Jones represents resilience and energy, inspiring teammates with his relentless competitiveness – not to mention he can play ALL SIDES OF THE BALL…. Defense as a slot corner, Special Teams as one of the league’s most dangerous returners, and even offense – as a gadget weapon. We’ll see… but I think he could be a captain this year.
Brenden Schooler — The ultimate special teams warrior, Schooler’s hustle, effort, and passion make him the heart of the Patriots’ third phase. He reminds us all too well of the Patriots legend Mathew Slater when it comes to holding down the Special Teams consistently. He’ll represent the special teams as a captain – and he can also provide safety depth if needed.
