Former NFL QB and Fox Sports Analyst Mark Sanchez Hospitalized, Arrested After Indianapolis Altercation
Former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez was hospitalized early Saturday morning after being stabbed during an altercation in downtown Indianapolis.
Police say the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near West Washington Street and North Senate Avenue, involving two men. One man sustained stab wounds; the other suffered lacerations.
Sanchez, 38, was later arrested at the hospital. He faces misdemeanor charges including battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Authorities have described the incident as isolated and not a random act of violence. The case is now under review by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to determine whether formal charges will be filed.
Sanchez had been in Indianapolis to serve as a broadcaster for Fox Sports’ coverage of the upcoming Colts vs. Raiders game.
